Three Best Brow Gels For Faux Laminated Brows

Beauty trends come and go. Some are good, and some are crap. This brow lamination situation is here to stay. Getting your brows laminated professionally too often is no good for the health of your brow hair. Thanks to these brow gels, you can get the look you want and rinse it off when it’s time for sleep.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze

When this Anastasia Brow Freeze dropped in Sephora, I knew it was going to be good. I was right. However, there are some hits and misses with this product. The first hit would be it really “freezes” your brows in place however you wish to style them. Which with all of these products, you want to brush your brow hairs straight up as if you’re trying to comb them back into your hair… This is the best way I can describe it without physically showing you.

The second hit is that it doesn’t feel too “stiff,” don’t get me wrong, it’s wash off glue, so it feels tight but not uncomfortable, is what I’m getting at. I don’t notice it unless I accidentally touch my brow.

Now for the miss, it doesn’t come with a brush, so it’s not convenient to bring on the go. So instead, I buy disposable spoolies off of Amazon, and they work just perfectly.

I first wet my spoolie with water and brush my brows first to get any powder or other makeup that might have landed on my brows off. Next, I pat dry the brow and then go in with the brow freeze. You don’t want to apply this product over powder on the brow. It will trap the powder in and create a gunky mess.

The second miss is that if you’re not constantly using this product, it starts to harden up, and you’ll have to dig for the juicy glue underneath. I give it an 8/10

Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel

I love the convivence and packaging of this Patrick Ta Brow Gel. It’s rose gold and looks expensive. The applicator is the brush which makes it easy breezy. This gel is like the Anastasia one as far as holding your brows in place. They’re not going anywhere, so I love that. However, this product dries quickly, so you need to know how to style your brows and do it swiftly.

I’ve also noticed with this product that my brows feel a bit stiff and “crunchy” to the touch. If you use brow gels, you know what I mean. However, I do like this product because it does what it says it will.

NYX The Brow Glue

NYX brow glue is my favorite if I’m not doing full glam for a night out. This is the most comfortable wearing gel out of the three.

It holds your brows nicely in place without feeling too stiff or like you have gel on your brows. This one is perfect for day-to-day casual makeup wear. However, if you want your brows to last for an event or night out, I would opt for the previous two because they have more holding power.

With Love,

Nicole
