3 Skincare Products Everyone Should Be Using
SKINCARE PRODUCT #1: Gentle Cleanser
Nowadays, cleansers are formulated with much gentler surfactants. So that when you rinse them from your face you don’t feel like your skin in screaming for hydration. Using a cleanser, is very important when it comes to skin health.
Washing your face before bed, removes all dirt, pollutants, makeup, etc. so you don’t go to bed with any buildup on your skin to interrupt with natural cell turnover. Without removing dirt and whatever else from your face can cause breakouts, irritation and other issues I’m sure you don’t want to deal with.
SKINCARE PRODUCT #2: Moisturizer
Ahhh yes hydration. Moisturizer is essential for ALL skin types. Our skin needs to be hydrated in order to function properly, and you will be able to feel when it needs more. Listen to your skin!
Our skin barrier on the topmost layer of our skin is what protects us from the outside world. Without hydration this barrier becomes impaired making it weak in its effort to protect. This will lead to dryness and irritated skin that can lead to multiple different issues.
Moisturizers come in all different kinds of formulations to target different skin types. Lightweight for more oily/sensitive skin and heavier for more dry/irritated types. I always recommend fragrance free options.
SKINCARE PRODUCT #3: Sunscreen
The most important step in a skin care regimen. Sunscreen not only protects you from skin cancers, but also with accelerated aging!
Everyone is always asking what they can use to prevent this and that or help with hyperpigmentation/acne etc and most of the time they’re not using enough or any sunscreen to help combat some of these conditions. The sun will exacerbate any skin condition you’re dealing with, even if you’re just walking down the street to run an errand.
80% of premature aging is due to harmful UV rays. Without using a sunscreen, no wrinkle cream can help. UVA rays penetrate the dermis layer, responsible for the structure and firmness of our skin, not to mention collagen production that makes our skin look plump and youthful. Hint Hint…these UVA rays penetrate through glass so if you’re working by a window every day apply your sunscreen!
